It’s certainly an exciting possibility that our work with P-DfMA could end up being adopted by the international community.
Conversely, Bryden Wood’s Platform approach has the potential to deliver the fundamental industry transformation that both Singapore and Hong Kong are striving for.If such an approach was applied to the local context, with components tailored for the unique construction and regulatory landscape of each country, a new manufacturing-led approach to construction could start to emerge and set an exciting new example for the Asia-Pacific region.. At Bryden Wood, we are excited to see DfMA playing an ever more mainstream role in the construction landscape in both Singapore and Hong Kong and we will do our best to support the industry in both countries in whatever ways we can..

This is a landmark moment.
But it is also the latest chapter in a long story of Government-led collaborations with private sector clients and a new kind of supply chain, resulting in real progress and real, tangible outcomes, which benefit both private and public sectors..The resources needed for change (above the day-to-day).
Changing platform technology could place additional demands on operations above and beyond those of securing ongoing supply and product transfer..The compulsion to change seems not yet powerful enough to overcome these barriers or to put it another way, has not yet reached the activation energy threshold.
That said, some companies are getting closer..The compulsions to invest in capacity, whether new or replacement capacity, are clearly there.
